Art exhibition 1 – 29 February 2012 - 1/02/2012
Caerwys Art Group is holding the first public exhibition of members’ work in Holywell Library from Wednesday 1 February through to Wednesday 29 February and admission is free.
The Caerwys Art Group was established by Felicity Owens in 2009 and now meets at the Caerwys Memorial Institute every Monday morning at 10.30. New members are welcome especially those interested in learning the fundamentals of drawing and painting and whether their interest is in landscapes, portraits or still-life and in a variety of media.

The Mayor of Holywell’s Concert - 4/03/2012
The Mayor of Holywell, Councillor Peter York and Mayoress of Holywell, Councillor Sheena Wallbanks are holding a concert at St Winefride’s Church Holywell on Sunday 4 March starting at 7pm.
The concert features Trelawnyd Male Voice Choir and soloist Anwen Hughes, soprano and Harpist Chloe Roberts.

Holywell plays host to arts and crafts exhibition - 25/03/2012
Flintshire Visual Arts and Craft Network is holding an exhibition of members’ work at the Holywell Arts & Crafts Mill between the 16 - 25 March as part of Flintshire County Council’s Artsfest ’12 event.
The exhibition, to which admission is free, will enable the public to see a wide range of beautiful and intriguing work using various skills and techniques from painting to quilting and jewellery making to woodturning.

Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile - 25/03/2012
Holywell is playing host to one of the two Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile events being held in Flintshire.
The event, to be known as ‘The Holywell Mile’ takes place on Sunday 25 March and will be held in the grounds of Holywell High School
Entrants don’t have to be sporty to take part but will know that all the money raised will help to change the lives of people living unimaginably tough lives locally and throughout the rest of Wales, the UK and in some of the world’s poorest countries.
Anybody interested in taking part must register online prior to the event and won’t be able to turn up on the day and register then.
Spectators will be allowed.

Two-day town-wide litter pick - 20/04/2012
Keep Wales Tidy has organised a two-day town-wide litter pick in Holywell and wants to hear from any individuals or groups interested in taking part.
The event, called ‘Stop the Drop’ is planned for Friday 20 and Saturday 21 April. It will involve Holywell schools on the Friday and groups of volunteers on the Saturday. Pupils and volunteers taking part will be able to adopt their own part of the town to carry out the litter pick.
